Bacon Street (between Bowdoin & University streets) will close starting this week

The traffic control plan submitted by S. J. Amoroso to the City's Department of Parking and Traffic has now been approved. This means that the closure of Bacon Street between University and Bowdoin streets will occur this week. This street closure will allow for much of the construction equipment and materials to be contained in an area within the construction site, and not on adjacent streets. This portion of Bacon Street will be closed to traffic and pedestrians until Summer 2011. Please look out for street closure and detour signs when driving around the reservoir.

Also, thank you to those that joined us at the project Open House last Thursday, September 10, 2009 held at the SFPUC's Yellow House on the corner of University & Bacon streets. If you weren't able to make it, a copy of the project boards featured and handouts provided are available by clicking here.
