HUNTERS POINT RESERVOIR SEISMIC UPGRADE PROJECT


As part of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Water System Improvement Program, the Hunters Point Reservoir Rehabilitation and Seismic Upgrade Project will improve the seismic reliability of this reservoir and ensures the continual delivery of high quality drinking water to the Hunters Point neighborhood.

Construction will occur near Whitney Young Circle and Hudson Avenue, mainly inside the reservoir which is one of the main sources of domestic water for residents of the area.

Construction Schedule
Construction on the Hunters Point Reservoir will begin in February 2011 and will end in the winter of 2012.

Work Hours
Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

No construction will occur outside of these posted hours without advanced written notice.

What to Expect
February: Site grading and preparation;construction trailers placed on site.
All construction activities will occur on the existing SFPUC site. There will be
some minor truck traffic and hauling of construction materials on and offsite.

Noise: Residents & businesses can expect noise from the use of construction equipment. Noise will be monitored to ensure compliance with the San Francisco Noise Ordinance.
